Profile
Lasath is the Senior Engineer at Exergy Australia and has twenty years experience of mechanical & electrical building services engineering design and maintenance management with a special focus on energy efficiency. Lasath has worked in England, Scotland, New Zealand and Australia on an extensive range of projects for variety of different clients.
As a building services design engineer Lasath has worked on a diverse range of building types. These include commercial offices, schools, le align="justify"isure centres, accommodation blocks, kitchen facilities, laboratories, factories, fire and police stations, infrastructure work and Royal Air Force establishments.
Lasath has also worked with design and manufacture of heat pumps, air conditioning systems, thermal energy storage systems and de-humidifiers for special applications.
Energy audits carried out by Lasath include commercial offices, hospitals, schools & universities, leisure centres, supermarkets, mail sorting centres, police headquarters, accommodation blocks, food processing plant, laboratories, timber mills and news paper printing presses.
Lasath worked as the Principal Engineer for a facilities management establishment in London and was responsible for maintenance management and response repairs to mechanical and electrical services at 2,500 council owned homes, district heating schemes, public libraries and social services buildings. Lasath also worked for a power generation company in New Zealand, with responsibility for maintenance and plant optimisation at wood waste and coal fired thermal generation plant.
In addition to energy auditing, Lasath was responsible for the management of a performance based energy management contract at a large hospital in the capital city of New Zealand.
