Profile

Matthew joined Exergy part-time in July of 2007 to complete the work experience requirement for his Engineering degree. Matthew became full-time once he graduated in November 2007.

Matthew developed a keen interest in energy systems and environmental sustainability over the course of his time at university. He diversified his learning so to gain an understanding of environmental challenges from social, economic and engineering perspectives. His thesis study focussed on energy efficiency at a local primary school in the ACT.

Since he began working full time at Exergy Matthew has been introduced to a variety of methods of improving energy efficiency, having been involved in a number of both base building and tenancy energy audits. During these projects he has developed skills in the analysis of commercial building air-conditioning systems and their failure modes.

Matthew is an accredited NABERS Assessor.
